Heavy snowfall over the past 24 hours has significantly affected travel inside and outside city limits. Crews are nearly finished clearing priority emergency routes and continue to make steady progress to clear bus routes. The duration and volume of snowfall have resulted in delays to transit, garbage, and recycling services.

The public is advised that loud noises may occasionally be heard in the vicinity of the Prince Albert Glass Field Airport while the Airport Wildlife Management Plan (AWMP) is in effect.

Residents are reminded that they have until March 31^st to complete any elm pruning on their property, or to delay until early fall, as the provincial ban on pruning elm trees will be in effect between April 1^st and August 31^st. 

Residents are encouraged to report potholes to help prioritize maintenance efforts. Reports can be submitted online through the City’s Report a Concern Portal at: https://srportal.citypa.ca/public (keyword “pothole”), or by contacting the Solutions Hub at 306-953-4884.

Residents in Prince Albert can apply to be added to the dust suppression program at a cost to the residents. The deadline to apply to be added to the dust suppression program is April 20, 2026

The City of Prince Albert will be conducting a controlled burn of the clean wood pile at the Prince Albert Landfill tomorrow, February 24, 2026.

The City of Prince Albert’s Snow Operations crews will begin grading residential streets starting Monday, January 26, as part of ongoing winter maintenance efforts.

The City of Prince Albert has received numerous snow-related service requests over the past week as warm weather continued across the region. As expected, these conditions softened snow on roads, especially at neighbourhood entrances and busy spots, where traffic volume and the use of salt led to ruts.

The City of Prince Albert is reminding residents that with warmer weather expected this weekend and into early next week, road conditions may worsen due to the ongoing thaw-freeze cycle.
