The City of Prince Albert advises residents that Little Red River Park is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, following a temporary closure due to elevated water levels on the North Saskatchewan River. The Knotty Pine Bistro will also resume normal operations on June 30.
A section of Little Red River Park will be temporarily closed on Friday, June 26, 2026, due to elevated water levels on the North Saskatchewan River with the potential of back-up of water into the core area of the park.
The Water Security Agency (WSA) has issued a High Flow Advisory for the North Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan River systems.
Due to recent precipitation, the fire ban issued on May 26, 2026, for all areas north of the North Saskatchewan River, including Little Red River Park, will be lifted today at 12:00 p.m.
Effective May 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., a Fire Ban has been declared for all areas north of the North Saskatchewan River within the City of Prince Albert.

While the park itself will reopen to the public, water levels on the Spruce River remain high and fast-flowing, creating potentially dangerous conditions throughout the area.
