The City of Prince Albert owns and operates the billboard located at 2nd Avenue and 15th Street. The billboard is primarily used to advertise City news and community events. This is primarily a community based billboard intended to leave a lasting positive impression of Prince Albert both inside and outside the city through the promotion of prominent events and news in Prince Albert. Intended results include:
- Increase exposure of Prince Albert’s notable events to residents and tourists travelling through Prince Albert
- Build community pride through the promotion of good news from Prince Albert including awards, accomplishments and achievements, especially those relating to the priorities identified in the City’s Community Services Master Plan and Municipal Cultural Action Plan.
- Inform residents about notable City services and emergency announcements as required.
Note: Events that occur more than a 50km outside of Prince Albert will not be considered unless the community is a member of the Prince Albert Regional Economic Development Alliance.
Submitting an Event/Good News for Consideration
Events and positive news will be considered on the billboard at no charge.
All events must first be submitted and approved for the www.paevents.ca calendar. Events approved for the calendar do not necessarily mean they will be promoted on the billboard. Good news from Prince Albert including awards, accomplishments and achievements, especially those relating to the priorities identified in the City’s Community Services Master Plan and Municipal Cultural Action Plan, will be considered for the billboard.
In order to be considered, you must make a request through the submission form.

Promotion Requirements
Please keep in mind that promotions displayed on the billboard must follow certain standards. Fully developed promotions can be submitted, but we may require amendments before they are played. We will also work with groups to build appropriate promotions. Priority will be given to events that have high quality graphics, logos and text readily available to use in the promotion. If you are submitting a fully developed promotion, please note that they must:
- be prepared as a png or jpeg file
- have files sizes that are 900px wide by 450px high
- be simple design and limited text (to ensure drivers are able to read the display)
- have large enough font size to be legible to drivers at farther distances
- use high quality, high resolution digital images and where possible, include local people and places (note that images with recognizable people MUST have signed consent to use the image in promotions). We reserve the right to deny any advertisement that does not meet resolution or quality standards.
Timelines
In order to be considered for the billboard, promotion requests should be made a minimum of 4 weeks before the event starts and must include full details including date, time, location and any associated logos, images or graphics. This will provide time for discussion about the ad and revisions if required. Ad requests that can be submitted earlier, with complete details, are appreciated.
Disclaimer:
Billboard promotions are reviewed in accordance with this criteria. Posting an event or announcement does not imply endorsement by the City of Prince Albert. The City reserves the right to revise the billboard criteria at any time.
Promotion Approvals
The City of Prince Albert reserves the right to edit a promotion for clarity and the right to deny submissions or remove submissions at any time and at its sole discretion. The likelihood of your promotion running depends on the number of events occurring at any given time. The EA Rawlinson Centre has been given a priority with three guaranteed spots each week (if needed).
