The City of Prince Albert is pleased to share that a dedication ceremony was held today for the new public artwork Passage Home and Healing Park, located at Scarrow Plaza. The event also commemorated the 150th Anniversary of the Signing of Treaty Six and was presented by Common Weal Community Arts and the City of Prince Albert Public Art Working Group.

Since the weekend of August 16, the City has received reports from residents of a slight earthy or musty odour when running cold water from their taps. The City’s Water Treatment Plant has collected water samples for further testing. Based on the results to date, the City can confirm that the water remains safe to drink.

The City of Prince Albert has pleaded guilty in Provincial Court to a violation of the Saskatchewan Health and Safety Act stemming from an incident in July 2024. The City accepted a fine of $92,857 and will also be responsible for a court surcharge of $37,142.
