Updated: The City of Prince Albert is pleased to inform residents that swimming lessons are returning to the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre this fall and winter!

The City of Prince Albert is proud to announce a generous $25,000 donation from the Schrader family to the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre. In recognition of this contribution, Officials Room #1 in the new twin arenas will be named in honour of Barry Schrader

Prince Albert City Council will consider a report from Administration on Tuesday October 14, 2025 introducing a Zoning Bylaw Amendment to permit “4-Units as of Right” in all residential zones, excluding Country Residential. This proposed change is required to qualify for funding under the Canadian Housing Infrastructure Fund.

All routes are operating as usual. There will be no transit on Monday, October 13 due to Thanksgiving.

The Prince Albert Minor Football Association (PAMFA) proudly announces that the Crescent Heights Football Field has been officially renamed Wendell Whitter Field, in honour of the late Wendell Whitter, a longtime volunteer, coach, and builder of youth football in the community.

The City of Prince Albert will join a Saskatchewan delegation led by Government Relations Minister Eric Schmalz and Advanced Education Minister Ken Cheveldayoff in Ottawa this week to advocate for a renewed cost-shared federal infrastructure program that is vital to the future growth and stability of municipalities across the province.

The skate park will be closed September 29–October 3 for annual maintenance and concrete sealing.

In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day on September 30^th , the City of Prince Albert would like to encourage everyone to wear an orange shirt in honour of the children who survived the Indian Residential Schools in Canada and remember those who didn’t.

Residents are advised that weekly garbage collection will be discontinued starting in October, and garbage collection will return to the bi-weekly schedule.
