Come From Away Brings Broadway-Level Talent to Prince Albert
Broadway North Theatre Company, with the support of the Malcolm Jenkins Family Foundation, presents the award-winning musical Come From Away, opening Wednesday, August 12, at the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts. With more than 2,000 tickets already sold, the production is shaping up to be one of the feel-good stories of the summer.
The Broadway North production features an exceptionally talented local cast, with all 12 cast members taking on multiple roles. Their energy, rapid-fire pace and seamless character changes capture the unique cadence of the musical and bring this extraordinary story to life. Important to note that the show has no intermission.

Come From Away is the true story of what happened when the world came to Gander, Newfoundland. On September 11, 2001, as American airspace closed, 38 planes carrying thousands of passengers were diverted to the small town's airport. What began as a logistical crisis became something else entirely: an unexpected international gathering.
Undaunted by cultural differences and language barriers, the people of Gander welcomed the stranded travellers with music, food, open doors and friendship, offering a powerful reminder that we are all part of one global family.
For every ticket sold, the Malcolm Jenkins Family Foundation will donate $20 to the Ronald McDonald House. Adult tickets: $40; Student: $35; Matinee: $30.

Written by Canadian husband-and-wife team Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Come From Away has become a worldwide theatrical phenomenon, winning Best New Musical at the 2019 Olivier Awards, Outstanding Musical at the 2017 Drama Desk Awards and Best Direction of a Musical at the 2017 Tony Awards. The production received seven Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
