Swimming Lesson Information

  • This year, 780 swimming lesson spots are available — an increase from last year.
  • Resident lesson registration opens June 2 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Registration opens to everyone on June 9 at 10:00 a.m.

Important Dates

  • April 28, 2026 – 10:00 am: School and Organization rentals open
  • May 20, 2026 – 10:00 am: Public rentals open
  • May 26, 2026 – 10:00 am: Summer 2026 lessons viewable online
  • June 2, 2026 – 10:00 am: Resident lesson registration opens
  • June 9, 2026 – 10:00 am: Lesson registration opens to everyone 

Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre – Aquatics will close temporarily after June 19 for scheduled maintenance. Both facilities will run adjusted schedules during the transition.

Kinsmen Water Park — June 5 to June 19

Monday – Friday (June 6–19)
1:00 – 7:00 pm - Public Swim
1:00 – 3:00 pm - School Rental (runs at the same time as public swim)

Saturday – Sunday (June 6–19)
1:00 – 7:00 pm - Public Swim


LCCLC — June 5 to June 19

The Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre will be doing limited programming until June 19:

5 & under: FREE

6-17: $8.50

18-59: $13.75

60+: $8.50

Family (maximum 6 people, 1 or 2 adults): $40

Lane Swim/Aquafit: $7.00

Public swimming is 1pm-7pm daily, weather permitting all summer! 

Monday-Friday Lane Swim:

June 20 - August 23, 2026:

11:00am - 12:30pm - Lane Swim**

Saturday Aquafit (New! Starting June 20, 2026)

After-Hour Rentals will begin on June 8th and run until August 8th. They will be available 7:30pm-9pm almost daily, weather permitting.

Online registration opened May 20th @ 10am online. Days are full - watch for cancellations!

All children under the age of 8 must wear a red wristband and stay within arms reach of an adult in the water at all times. One adult can supervise a maximum of three children.

Children aged 8-10 must wear a green wristband and can swim on their own but must have an adult at the park with them.

Every attempt will be made to keep the Kinsmen Water Park open during the designated hours of operation. Please note that we must close the park in the event of thunder, lightning, or extreme rain.

The Kinsmen Water Park does not supply lifejackets/PFD's. Swimmers may bring their own lifejackets/PFD's from home. Children under the age of 8 who are wearing a lifejacket/PFD must stay within arms reach of an adult over the age of 18.

Please be sure to review the Kinsmen Water Park rules before arriving at the park.

 

Swimming Lessons and Lifeguard Courses

Summer Swimming Lesson Registration!

Swimming Lessons this summer at the KWP will consist of four separate 2-week sets of Swimming Lessons during July and August. There will be a large variety of swimming lessons offered, ranging from Parent and Tot to Swim Patrol courses. There will be no lessons on statutory holidays. 

Resident registration opened online on June 2 @ 10 am. Check online for cancellations and to be added to the waitlist! 

Lessons will run in 4 sets this year: 

  • Set A - June 30th - July 10th (No Classes July 1) 
  • Set B - July 14th - July 24th 
  • Set C - July 28th - August 7th 
  • Set D - August 11th - August 21st 

All sets will run Tuesday-Friday for 2 weeks.

Enjoy outdoor fun at the Kinsmen Water Park (open June to August) and dive into our brand-new Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre Aquatics, now open with lessons, public swimming, private rentals, and programming. The Kinsmen Water Park is closed for the season. The Frank J. Dunn Swimming Pool is permanently closed.
