Community Clean-Up Week Runs May 11–16
The City of Prince Albert is reminding residents that Community Clean-Up Week runs from May 11 to 16, 2026, providing an opportunity to clear out unwanted items and help keep neighbourhoods clean.
This is the time to clean up yards, garages, and properties by getting rid of old appliances, scrap materials, broken furniture, old wood, branches from spring pruning, and other unwanted items that have accumulated over the winter.
Community clean-up bins will be available at designated locations throughout the week, making it easier for residents to dispose of items and help tidy neighbourhoods.
Residents are also reminded that property maintenance is an ongoing responsibility of property owners. This includes mowing lawns, removing garbage and scrap materials, and ensuring properties are kept clean and safe.
Nuisance Properties
Under the City’s Nuisance Abatement Bylaw, property owners who cause or allow a nuisance to occur or remain on a property may be subject to fines and potential legal action. A property may be considered a nuisance if it is damaged, dilapidated, vulnerable to trespass, boarded up, overgrown with grass, untidy or unsightly, or contains junked vehicles. Nuisance Properties can be reported here.
Community clean-up events are planned at three locations. Residents are encouraged to bring items to any of the locations during the week to help clean up their neighbourhoods.
