2026 Tax Notices Mailed

The City of Prince Albert advises residents and businesses that 2026 Property Tax Notices are being mailed out today, May 28, 2026. Residents and business owners can expect to begin receiving their notices by mail starting Friday.

Property owners who signed up for e-billing will also soon receive their Tax Notice electronically. Residents are encouraged to check their junk or spam folders if they do not see the notice in their inbox.

Tax Notices for mortgage companies and banks will be distributed by early next week.

The 2026 Residential Tax changes include a 2.03% general municipal levy increase and a net $12 increase to the residential base tax. Increasing the base/special tax shifts more of the cost of services such as fire protection, policing, and road maintenance to a flat amount per property. This approach ensures that all properties contribute a more consistent share toward maintaining the quality of the services residents rely on every day.

More information on the 2026 Residential, Multi-Residential and Commercial tax rates is available at citypa.ca/2026-tax-rates.
