2026 Free Events for Culture Days!

Culture Days has become one of Canada's largest celebrations of arts, culture, and heritage, connecting millions of people through free activities and performances hosted by artists, cultural organizations, and municipalities across the country. The City of Prince Albert invites residents and visitors to participate in 2026 Culture Days, taking place from September 18 to October 4.

More than twenty FREE events and activities will be offered throughout the two-week celebration. From visual arts and music to history, dance, and cultural experiences, there is something for everyone to enjoy. A complete schedule is available on the Prince Albert Culture Days Hub.

Here are a few event highlights:

Culture Days Kick-Off on the Riverbank
Join us on Friday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Street Eats & River Beats beside the Prince Albert Historical Museum to launch Culture Days 2026. This free drop-in event features live music, local food trucks, and a collaborative art activity with the Mann Art Gallery.

Remix Exhibition Opening Reception
The Mann Art Gallery presents the opening reception for Remix, an exhibition featuring works from the gallery's permanent collection, on Saturday, September 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Prince Albert Historical Museum Group Tours & Activities
Explore local history through special tours and activities offered at the Prince Albert Historical Museum on September 22, 23, and 24.

African Grooves Dance Party
Hosted by the YWCA Prince Albert, this lively celebration of music, culture, and movement takes place on September 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Make Your Own Album Cover with Gabrielle Giroux
Explore creativity through visual arts and music-inspired design in this unique hands-on activity on Monday, September 28 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Tapestrama Cultural Festival
Hosted by the Prince Albert Multicultural Council, Tapestrama returns to the Prince Albert Exhibition Grounds on September 26 and 27 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Enjoy cultural performances, exhibits, food, and activities that showcase the many cultures that make up our community.

"Culture Days is an opportunity to celebrate the creativity, cultures, stories, and traditions that make Prince Albert such a vibrant place to live," says Tia Holash, Arts & Culture Coordinator for the City of Prince Albert. "Whether you're attending a festival, trying a new art form, learning about local history, or connecting with neighbours through shared experiences, Culture Days helps bring our community together and highlights the richness of our local cultural landscape."

Residents are encouraged to explore the full schedule and participate in as many activities as possible throughout the three-week celebration.
