Fall is a wonderful time of the year and the City has many opportunities for people to get active, creative, have fun and be safe all at the same time! A walk in the park is more accessible and inclusive than ever with this 450 m stretch of newly paved pathway in Litte Red! It connects the Cosmo Lodge, Rotary Adventure Park (still under construction), and Toboggan Hill areas within this section of the park. The new asphalt pathway will also help to stabilize and reduce the concerns with erosion along the river bank. It is a great time of year for a walk in one of our great city parks, the Rotary Trail or Little Red River Park.
Last night, the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts announced an exciting Fall lineup. Also, many registrations are happening for fall activities and sports.
The Frank J. Dunn Pool will fire up this month for another season of swimming lessons, parties and activities.

The Misery Mountain Boys | Wednesday, September 21st - 7:30pm
You might hear the tunes of the Misery Mountain Boys drifting from behind a rotating bookcase of a 1930’s speakeasy. Harkening back to a simpler time, the MMB’s create a collaborative soundscape infused with humour, tongue-in-cheek wit, nostalgia, and playfulness. With a mix of catchy originals and contemporary songs reimagined in driving swing, the melodies of the MMB’s deliver themselves as both surprising and inevitable. The band offers a diverse range of sonic experiences, urging audiences to gyration in the tassel-clad, sweaty swing numbers, and swaying in the velvety jazz tunes.

Diyet & The Love Soldiers | Friday, September 30th @ 7:30pm
Diyet was born in a tent and spent her childhood on the ancestral lands of the Kluane First Nation people in Canada’s Yukon Territory. Coming from a family rooted in traditions but tempered with a good sense of adventurous hippie attitudes, Diyet has created a musical presence that is as diverse as her Southern Tutchone, Tlingit, Japanese and Scottish heritage.

Love in Every Stitch
September 8 – November 5, 2022
Reception: Saturday, September 10
from 2 – 4:30 pm
Love in Every Stitch features the tangible stories of Métis women artists currently living in Kistapinanihk (the Prince Albert, SK region). Through the support of lead artists Leah Marie Dorion and Bonny Johnson, all participants were educated about the historic High Plains Métis Style Ribbon Skirt pattern and teachings; this served as the common framework for each of their sewing expressions.
Enclosing Some Snapshots:
The Photography of James Brady
September 15 – November 5, 2022
Curated by Seesequasis & Petit
James Brady's life (1908-1968) is intrinsically linked to the history and politics of Métis communities in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Known primarily as a political activist, along with his life-long comrade Malcolm Norris, there was another side to Brady that is less known – his penchant for taking photographs. This touring exhibition is the first exhibition of these images, now in the Glenbow collections. (PS)
