Priority One Snow Routes are complete. The City of Prince Albert now lifts the following Parking Ban.
The City of Prince Albert would like to advise that the Snow Route Parking Ban declared at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, has been lifted. Crews are now moving into priority two streets which are expected to be complete by Wednesday afternoon (except for school zones).
- Snow lifts in school zones will begin on Friday and continue through the weekend and next week.
- A downtown snow lift is scheduled for Wednesday evening and is expected to be complete by Thursday morning. Where possible, motorists should relocate parked cars to assist in the effective clearing of snow.
Snow accumulation in the downtown business district and school zones must be lifted and trucked out. The reason for a snow lift in the central business district is there is nowhere to put the snow. In school zones, snow plowing creates windrows (or snow piles) that make it dangerous for children, drivers, and buses. To do a snow lift, city crews need to bring in more equipment, which is why they do it overnight (downtown) or during school breaks (school zones).
When a parking ban is declared, all parked vehicles must be removed from priority one streets.
