Following the snow storm over the weekend and continuing snowfall overnight, the following update can be provided on snow operations for this week:
- Crews are back on priority 1 streets to clean up snow that accumulated overnight and progress has been steady. Priority 1 streets shoud be cleared by the end of the day.
- The remainder of the crews are continuing on priority 2 streets today and are expected to be complete by Wednesday afternoon (with the exception of school zones).
- Snow lifts in schools zones will begin Friday and continue through the weekend and into next week.
- A downtown snow lift is scheduled for Wednesday evening and is expected to be complete by Thursday morning. Where possible, motorists are asked to relocate parked cars to assist in the effective clearing of snow.
- A Parking Ban has been declared for priority one streets. Anyone that remains parked on streets with signs “No Parking When Declared” risks fine and towing.
The City deploys both city equipment and hired equipment to speed up the clearing process.
