Snow clearing continues following the winter storm last weekend. The following updates can be provided:
Today:
- A lift was completed on the Diefenbaker Bridge early this morning.
- Crews are grading the East Flat, Riverview, Adanac Point and Hazeldell neighbourhoods.
- Targeted lifts have started in schools zones to clear snow in handicap zones.
Tuesday:
- Grading in the Southwood neighbourhood (south of 29th Street).
- Snow lifts will continue in school zones to remove snowbanks left behind by grading.
- Snow lifts in Cul-de-sacs where snow was temporarily piled following grading.
Wednesday:
- An early morning a snow lift is scheduled for streets in the downtown.
- Snow lifts in school zones will continue to remove snowbanks left behind by grading.
Snow plowing is based on a priority system, starting with major roadways and emergency streets.
Priority 1 - Main arterials
Priority 2 - Collector streets, bus routes and school zones
Priority 3 - Downtown (Central Business District)
Priority 4 - Residential
