Transit Live Now Offers Real-Time Tracking of Transit Fleet

 Prince Albert, Sk - No more guessing when your bus will arrive! The City of Prince Albert is pleased to now be offering Transit Live, an online GPS tracking service that shows users the real-time location of each bus. The application shows buses on all six routes: Rush Hour Service, All Day Express, West Hill, East Hill, East Flat and West Flat.

With Transit Live users can:

• click on the bus stop icon at their stop to see when the bus is expected to arrive. 
• see where their bus is in real time
• get text message alerts notify you when your bus is about to arrive

The map is easily accessible from your smart phone or desktop and can be found at www.transitlivepa.com or the Prince Albert Transit homepage www.citypa.ca/transit.

“It’s a simple but very useful application,” said Keri Sapsford, Transportation and Traffic Manager for the City of Prince Albert. “As we head into winter with temperatures dropping its nice to know just how close your bus is so you can limit the time you are spending out in the cold.”

The application has been available to the public for approximately 2 months and has been viewed over 10,000 times by users.
