The 15th street reconstruction between 1st avenue east and 6th avenue east is now complete with all lanes of traffic open. The City would like motorists to take note of the new slip lanes in place at the 5th avenue (Superstore) and 4th avenue (Peavey Mart) intersections. The slip lanes provides for three dedicated lanes of traffic in each direction without requiring a stop light to accommodate a left turn. Motorists should just take note that when turning left, they need to shoulder check before merging right into the lane of traffic.
"The slip lanes are new for Prince Albert drivers so we wanted to make sure drivers take note of the new approach," said Nykol Miller, Capital Projects Manager for the City of Prince Albert. "They help with traffic flow by allowing for three uninterrupted east and westbound traffic."
Minor lane closures will be required over the course of the next week to allow crews to complete final project line painting and landscaping work.
