The City of Prince Albert would like to advise motorists that overnight sewer flushing will cause two major intersections in the City to experience lane restrictions over the next week. The crews will be doing the work during the night because of heavy equipment requirements and to limit traffic disruptions.
The first intersection is on 6th Ave E and 15th Street E (Superstore/Grainfields intersection).
- Flushing will start this Friday July 8th and end Sunday July 10th (weather permitting).
- Crews will begin at 8 p.m. and end at 6 a.m.
Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. motorists will experience:
- Limited road access,
- Lane restrictions,
- Barricades to merge traffic,
- Full slow-down road ramps crossing the road to protect the high pressure water pipes.
All equipment and lane restrictions will be removed at 6 a.m. daily for the duration of the work.
A second location for overnight sewer flushing will be announced next week.
