City’s Public Facilities to Close at 4:00pm Today
Prince Albert, Sask. –
Prince Albert’s Emergency Operations Centre met today to review developments on the COVID-19 measures over the last 24 hours. The decision has been made to close all non-essential public facilities at 4:00pm today. Although there are no recommendations from Saskatchewan Health to shut down public facilities, low attendance and the need for caution led to the decision.
“We’ve had a chance to meet with our emergency response staff and to communicate the change in service to our employees,” said Jim Toye, City Manager. “This was a difficult decision but one that will allow us to focus our attention on our essential services.”
The City provides a number of essential services. Some of those services are important for our operation and others for the public. Please see below for the status of each City facility.
