Yard Waste Placement Reminder

Summer is in full swing, and the City of Prince Albert is reminding residents to follow proper guidelines when placing yard waste at the curb for pickup. Keeping your yard waste tidy and correctly placed helps ensure safe and efficient collection. As an alternative, yard waste can also be dropped off free of charge at the landfill, Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Yard Waste Pick up and placement Reminder 

• Yard Waste will be picked up the same day as your recycling.
• Bags must not exceed 25kg (55 pounds).
• During peak periods, Yard Waste may take extra days to collect.
• Yard Waste is always accepted free of charge at the Prince Albert Landfill.

Preparing Your Yard Waste for Pick Up

• Yard waste must be put in yard waste paper bags.
• Securely tied bundles of branches less than 1 metre in length will also be picked up.
• Place your bags and branches at least 1 metre from the recycle bin on your pick-up day.
• No plastic bags will be picked up
• Bags filled with dirt or garbage will not be collected.
