Snow Clearing Operations Moving Into School Zones

As of this afternoon, snow-clearing operations are moving into school zones as crews continue to make strong progress following the recent snowfall that brought approximately 35 cm (14 inches) of snow.
Priority 2 roads have been completed, with school zones representing the remaining work within this priority level. Crews began clearing school zones this afternoon and will continue working through the weekend. School zone clearing is projected to be complete by the end of the day on Tuesday.
In addition, crews have completed median snow lifts on several emergency routes, improving visibility and traffic movement along key corridors.
The City is also reviewing options and operational plans for residential road grading. An update on residential snow clearing will be provided once the current priority routes and school zones are completed.
Environment Canada has issued a snow squall warning for later today. Additional snowfall may require crews to return to priority routes to maintain safe driving conditions before advancing to the next phase of operations.
Report a Concern
Residents are reminded to report snow-related concerns online through the City’s Report a Concern Portal at: https://srportal.citypa.ca/public or through the Solutions Hub 306 953-4884.
The City would like to thank everyone for their patience and support as we tackle this snow together. When you see graders and loaders at work, please slow down and give our crews plenty of space.
