Prince Albert, SK — The City of Prince Albert is pleased to announce a $130,000 sponsorship from the Prince Albert Elks Lodge #58 in support of the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre. In recognition of this contribution, the facility's whirlpool has been named in honour of the Prince Albert Elks Lodge #58, reflecting their longstanding dedication to the community.

Since their founding on August 11, 1922, the Prince Albert Elks Lodge #58 has been a cornerstone of the city, with members contributing decades of volunteer service and leadership. The Prince Albert Elks Lodge #58 has played a key role in supporting local initiatives, including the construction of community halls, assistance to seniors’ homes, hospital fundraising, and a wide range of charitable and recreational events.

“The Prince Albert Elks Lodge #58 has demonstrated an extraordinary, century-long commitment to the well-being of our community,” said Dawn Kilmer, City Councillor and representative of the Play It Forward campaign. “Their generosity ensures that residents of all ages have a welcoming space to swim, relax, and connect.”

The naming of the whirlpool at the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre honours the Lodge's enduring tradition of service and dedication to Prince Albert, serving as a lasting symbol of its contribution to the community.

The Play It Forward campaign is a community-led fundraising effort supporting the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre. With the generosity of local donors, it is helping to create a space where residents of all ages can enjoy swimming, skating, and other recreational activities for years to come.
