Official Community Plan Amendment – Bylaw No. 23 of 2025
Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Prince Albert intends to consider Bylaw No. 23 of 2025 to amend The City of Prince Albert Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 21 of 2015.
Reason for the Bylaw: At its meeting on August 25, 2025, City Council granted first reading of Bylaw No. 23 of 2025 and directed Administration to provide Public Notice for a Public Hearing. The Bylaw proposes to amend the Official Community Plan to change the land use designation from Parks and Open Space to Low Density Residential. This amendment is conditional on the sale of approximately 814 m² of Municipal Reserve (as illustrated in the image below) at the request of the owner of 28 Hadley Road, legally described as Lot 1A-Par 170-Plan 102418455 Ext 0. The intent is to consolidate the land with 28 Hadley Road to provide additional yard area.
Therefore, City Council, at its meeting to be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., will consider all submissions, both written and verbal, respecting the Public Hearing for the above OCP amendment.
If you would like your written submission reviewed by City Council PRIOR to the meeting, it would be preferable if it were provided by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
In accordance with City Council’s Procedure Bylaw No. 23 of 2021, any written submissions must be provided to the City Clerk. Verbal submissions shall be heard during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.
