City of Prince Albert Launches Major Website Upgrade

The City of Prince Albert has launched a major upgrade to its official website, www.citypa.ca. This upgrade will make it easier for residents and visitors to find information, access services, and stay connected with City updates.

The updated website, which went live on August 26, reflects months of work to improve accessibility, streamline content, and enhance overall usability. While the site retains a familiar look, the platform has been rebuilt to provide a smoother experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

“The new website is built with residents in mind,” said Communications Manager Wilna Furstenberg. “We know how important it is for people to quickly find what they need—renewing a business license, checking transit schedules, or learning about City projects. The improvements we’ve made will make that process much simpler.”

Key upgrades include:

  • Improved accessibility for users with disabilities, including better compatibility with screen readers and clearer navigation.
  • Mobile-friendly design optimized for use on smartphones and tablets.
  • Enhanced search function to help residents find information more efficiently (search updates will continue to process over the next few days).

The upgrade was completed with support from GHD Digital Public Sector Solutions, the same service provider that supported the City’s previous website. The transition was necessary as the former platform had reached the end of its lifecycle.

The migration process is complete, but indexing through search engines may take a few days.

Thank you for your patience as these updates finalize.
