Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Prince Albert intends to consider Bylaw No. 30 of 2024 to amend The City of Prince Albert Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 21 of 2015.
Reason for the Amendment: At the City Council meeting held October 7th, 2024, the first reading of Bylaw No. 30 of 2024 was given and Administration was authorized to provide Public Notification for a Public Hearing. Bylaw No. 30 of 2024 proposes to amend the Official Community Plan to change portions of the land use designations from Low Density Residential & Medium Density Residential to High Density Residential & Institutional. This land use amendment is required to support Metis Nation Saskatchewan’s development of Street Townhouses and a Child Care Center. The subject property is shown in the dashed line below:
Therefore, City Council, at its meeting to be held on December 16th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., will consider all submissions both written and verbal respecting the Public Hearing for the above bylaw. If you would like your written submission reviewed by City Council PRIOR to the meeting, it would be preferable if it were provided by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024. In accordance with City Council’s Procedure Bylaw No. 23 of 2021, any written submissions must be provided to the City Clerk. Verbal submissions shall be heard during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.
