The City of Prince Albert invites all residents and businesses to participate in the 2nd Avenue West Clean-Up Initiative on Friday, May 9. Join us from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. as we give this busy corridor a clean look for summer.
Volunteers are encouraged to come out, cut the grass, pick up trash, and help beautify the area. Supplies will be provided: look for a City employee in the South Hill Mall parking lot (between Wendy’s and Montana’s) to distribute bags and gloves from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. After 9:30 a.m., the employee will drive along 2nd Avenue until 11:30 a.m. Participants can wave them down if more supplies are needed. Volunteers can also call 306.953.4140 for more supplies or questions.
As a thank-you for your time and effort, a BBQ will be held at the Tourism Centre from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

In addition, the City is launching a summer-long clean-up opportunity for clubs, youth groups, and sports teams. From May 16 to September 13, one group per weekend will be selected to clean a portion of 2nd Avenue in exchange for an honorarium. Participating groups must be able to complete the clean-up on Saturdays and have access to a vehicle to haul refuse to the landfill.
