
It’s time once again for residents, businesses, and community groups to come together and help clean up Prince Albert as part of the annual Pitch-In Week. The 2025 Pitch-In campaign runs from Monday, May 5, to Saturday, May 10, encouraging everyone to take part in keeping our city clean and beautiful.
Community Clean-Up Events Community clean-up events will be hosted at three locations throughout the city. Residents are encouraged to drop off accepted waste items at these designated sites:
- South: Kinsmen Water Park Parking Lot – 1st Ave West and 28th Street (This site closes at 10 am on May 10, 2025)
- East: Corner of 6th Avenue East and 10th Street East (This site closes at 10 am on May 10, 2025)
- West: PAGC Cultural Centre (Parkland Hall) – 1511 9th Ave West
Accepted Items:
- Household garbage
- Electronics
- Metal
- Appliances
- Grass and leaves
- Recyclables
Items Not Accepted:
- Tires (see alternative drop-off locations below)
- Hazardous household waste (see details below)
Call for Volunteers– Pitch-In Week is a great opportunity for residents to work together to improve the community. Volunteers are needed at each clean-up site to help make this event a success. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up at www.citypa.ca/volunteer. Once you submit the form, our team will contact you to arrange a schedule. 2nd Avenue Clean-Up Day – Friday, May 9, 2025
Join us from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. as we clean up 2nd Avenue and get it summer ready! The City of Prince Albert invites businesses and residents to come out, cut the grass, pick up trash, and help us give this busy corridor a fresh look. After the clean-up, enjoy a BBQ from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tourism Centre as a thank-you for your time and effort.
Tire Recycling Options – Tires will not be accepted at community clean-up sites. However, residents can drop off up to 10 rimless tires per person for free at the following locations during business hours, subject to available space:
- Kal Tire – 300- 38th St E (306-763-8426)
- OK Tire & Auto Repair Service – 1610 1st Ave W (306-763-4999)
For additional tire recycling options, visit the Tire Stewardship of Saskatchewan website at www.tssk.ca. Tires can also be disposed of at the landfill for a fee.
Hazardous Waste Disposal– Hazardous waste, including adhesives, aerosols, corrosives, fuels, and other materials, will not be accepted at community clean-up sites or the landfill. Instead, residents can safely dispose of these items at the Household Hazardous Waste Event on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
