Exciting Opportunity to Become a Lifeguard at the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre!

Are you passionate about water safety and saving lives? Do you want to be part of a dynamic team in a brand-new facility? We're looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to join our lifeguarding team at our upcoming facility.

The City of Prince Albert has partnered with Métis Nation - Western Region 2 to provide free lifesaving and lifeguard training to local Indigenous and Métis youth. 

Eligible participants will be able to take part in Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, and National Lifeguard courses.

Eligibility:

  • Aged 15+
  • Identify as First Nation, Inuit, or Métis (status/non-status)
  • Complete in-water screening or have completed swimming lessons
  • Reside in Western Region 2

Registration Process:

  • Contact the FJD Pool to complete in-water screening.
  • Register for courses by calling the FJD Pool office.

Step 3: Standard First Aid & CPR

Step 4: National Lifeguard

Lifesaving and lifeguard courses will be offered at a new location this fall (TBA).

Have you been a lifeguard in the past? Certification expired? We can help! Email aquatics@citypa.com if you're interested in rejoining the lifeguard team.
