Playgrounds
In 2019, the City of Prince Albert published the State of the Playgrounds report, which evaluated the condition of all 29 city playgrounds and identified priorities for replacement. Since then, numerous playgrounds have been upgraded or replaced. With the highest amount of green space per capita in Canada, Prince Albert proudly lives up to its nickname—the City of Parks.
The Summer Playground Program is a free, drop-in program for children aged 6 to 12. Kids are welcome to come and go throughout the day, enjoying fun, active play in a safe environment—two trained supervisors staff each site to ensure a positive and engaging participant experience.
