The Margo Fournier Arts Centre (formerly Prince Albert Arts Centre), operated by The City of Prince Albert, contains the John V. Hicks Gallery, a Pottery Studio, heritage room, studio room, a board room, and a small office sized artist studio room. Rooms are available for rental use for dance (there are mirrors in the studio), meetings, workshops, etc. A variety of arts groups and guilds operate in the Arts Centre, some with designated rooms. These are listed below. Common Weal Community Arts' office is also located at the Arts Centre. Learn more about your community Art Centre by watching the video above.
The Arts Centre offers many programs including pottery, painting, little chefs, yoga, camps, seasonal activities and more, mostly in the evenings and on Saturdays. We can also accommodate "create your own programs".
The Margo Fournier Arts Centre is one of the last of its kind on the prairies and a national historic landmark. The former Prince Albert Town Hall and Opera House was completed in 1893 and is now a thriving arts facility offering a wide variety of art, craft and creative opportunities for all members of our community. The Arts Centre is in our cultural district downtown at 1010 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, Sask.
