Artists in Communities Program

The Artists in Communities program supports artists to develop meaningful programming and projects with communities in Prince Albert.

In 2023 alone, Artist in Communities involved 144 programs, 5 artists, 12 community organizations and 921 non-unique participants. Examples of community organizations the artists have worked with include Herb Bassett Day Centre, STR8Up, The Nest, S.H.A.R.E., YWCA, Sask Seniors Fitness Association, Community Building Youth Futures and many more.

Artists in Communities is a program of the Municipal Cultural Action Plan in Prince Albert, lead by the City of Prince Albert through a contract coordinator, Jesse Campbell. It responds to several of the goals of this culture plan, specifically towards expanding the arts and cultural activity, creating access, promoting new partnerships, strengthening the artistic community, and investing in Prince Albert to be as culturally vibrant as possible.
