The City of Prince Albert is proud to announce a generous $550,000 donation from the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert. The donation will support two major recreational facilities that are cornerstones of active living in the community.
The donation includes $450,000 toward the newly completed Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre and $100,000 toward a new lift at the Kinsmen Ski and Snowboard Centre in Little Red River Park.
“This is a meaningful contribution that will benefit families in our city for years to come,” said Mayor Bill Powalinsky. “We are deeply grateful to the Kinsmen Club for once again stepping forward to support projects that strengthen community life.”
In recognition of their generous $450,000 contribution to the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre, the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert’s name will be displayed inside the facility. The wave pool will be named the “Kinsmen Wave Pool,” and the door to Dressing Room #1 in the twin arenas will bear the name “Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert.”
Now open in the Yard District, the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre features a modern aquatics facility alongside two NHL—sized ice surfaces, including a lap pool, leisure pool, and wave pool.
The $100,000 contribution will support the replacement of the lift at the Kinsmen Ski and Snowboard Centre, ensuring a safer, more accessible experience for winter sport enthusiasts.
“We’re proud to give back in ways that encourage recreation, health, and family fun,” said Wes Moore, President of the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert. “These projects are exactly the kind of community-building work our club is proud to support.”
The City of Prince Albert extends its sincere thanks to the Kinsmen Club for their continued commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
