
Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Prince Albert intends to consider Bylaw No. 16 of 2025 to amend Bylaw No. 18 of 2018, known as the District Official Community Plan.
Reason for the Amendment: At the City Council meeting held on July 21, 2025, the first reading of Bylaw No. 16 of 2025 was given, and Administration was authorized to provide Public Notification for a Public Hearing.
Bylaw No. 16 of 2025 proposes to amend language in the District Official Community Plan to:
- Amend the land use for the northern half of the property located at NW 31 47 25 2 Ext 1 from Highway Commercial to Country Residential, allowing for the residential development of the property;
- Amend the land use for the properties located at Blk/Par C-Plan Q732 Ext 1 and Blk/Par F-Plan 102313369 Ext 0 from Future Urban Growth Area to Residential to allow for the subdivision and residential development of the property; and
- Amend the language managing Country Residential Parcel sizes, increasing the maximum area from 4.04 hectares (10 Acres) to 6.07 hectares (15 Acres), allowing for the use of more efficient sewage systems.
Therefore, City Council, at its meeting to be held on August 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., will consider all submissions both written and verbal respecting the Public Hearing for the above bylaw. If you would like your written submission reviewed by City Council PRIOR to the meeting, it would be preferable if it were provided by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. In accordance with City Council’s Procedure Bylaw No. 23 of 2021, any written submissions must be provided to the City Clerk. Verbal submissions shall be heard during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.
