Celebrating Local Creativity and Community Pride
The City of Prince Albert is thrilled to announce the launch of a City of Parks and City of Arts Design Contest, inviting Saskatchewan-based visual artists and graphic designers to submit original artwork that celebrates the spirit of our community.
This exciting new initiative, led by the City’s Communications, Culture Plan, and Tourism teams, aims to highlight Prince Albert’s identity as both a hub for the arts and a leader in green space. As Saskatchewan’s Playground and the Heartbeat of the North, Prince Albert boasts the highest percentage of parkland in Canada and a thriving, diverse arts community.
“We’re looking for designs that reflect the pride, beauty, and creativity that define Prince Albert,” says Tia Furstenberg, Arts & Culture Coordinator. “Whether inspired by our natural landscapes or vibrant arts scene, this contest is a great opportunity for artists to help shape how we share our story.”
Two winning designs will be selected—one for City of Parks and one for City of Arts—each receiving a $500 honorarium. The chosen designs will be featured on merchandise, including decals, magnets, and more, to promote civic pride.
