Back to SearchPrince Albert’s Budget Committee will meet starting November 16, 2023, to consider the proposed 2024 capital and operating budgets as presented by City Administration. These budgets cover a substantial portion of the City’s operations, including core functional areas such as recreation, police, parks, fleet, fire, streets and roads, transit, traffic, playgrounds, arts, and community clubs.
This year, the budget package has once again been prepared “line-by-line” following a request by City Council. This method allows members of the Committee to review in greater detail what each operation includes.
The Budget Committee will meet to consider the proposed budget and review each operational area to make final determinations on spending priorities for the year and make recommendations to City Council for final approval.

General Fund Budget Deliberations:
There will be no presentations from the public during these meetings.
Thursday, November 16, 2023 – 8:00 am to approximately 5:00 pm
Friday, November 17, 2023 – 8:00 am to approximately 5:00 pm
Saturday, November 18, 2023 – 8:00 am to approximately 5:00 pm
All meetings listed above will be held in the Council Chamber, at City Hall at the times specified. Interested Citizens are encouraged to attend the Thursday, November 16, 2023 and Friday, November 17, 2023, Budget Committee meetings, as deliberations may be completed on those days.
Sanitation, Utility, Airport and Land Fund Budget Deliberations
There will be no presentation from the public during these meetings. The proposed Sanitation, Utility, Airport and Land fund budgets will be available on November 22, 2023.
Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 4:00 pm to approximately 8:00 pm
Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4:00 pm to approximately 8:00 pm
All meetings listed above will be held in the Council Chamber at City Hall at the times specified. Interested Citizens are encouraged to attend the meeting on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, as deliberations may be completed on those days. Budget recommendations are anticipated to be considered at the December 11, 2023, City Council meeting.
