Anti-Graffiti Paint Program

The Anti-Graffiti Program encourages you to help the City of Prince Albert reduce graffiti vandalism by reporting it, recording it and removing it.

Homeowners, business owners and private owned facilities can apply to the City of Prince Albert under the Anti-Graffiti Program to receive assistance with graffiti removal located on exterior surfaces of their private property.

Program availability

The Program is available for as long as weather permits.  Applications received when temperatures are consistently less than 0 degrees Celsius will not be considered.

Applying for the program

Complete our online Anti-Graffiti Program application or print a copy and bring it in to the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department on the 3rd Floor of City Hall for approval.

Be ready to show proof of ownership (example: tax notice) if required. If you are a renter of a property, then the owner of the property must be the one to apply for the program.

Program terms and conditions

Please note the following terms and conditions:

  • You may only remove or paint graffiti on your own personal property.
  • You cannot paint neighbouring properties, public benches, community facilities, SaskPower boxes, Canada Post mailboxes, etc.
  • You are eligible for a maximum of one (1) application per incident as part of the program.
  • The program does not cover costs that haven’t been pre-approved by the application process. Any costs above and beyond the services offered on the application will be the responsibility of the applicant.

What is graffiti?

Graffiti is any drawing, inscription, writing or other mark that defaces any:

  • building;
  • accessory building;
  • fence; or
  • other structure.

How to prevent graffiti

The most effective way to prevent graffiti is to remove it right away. Studies show that removal within 24 to 48 hours results in a nearly zero rate of reoccurrence.
