Community Solutions Forum CSWB
The Community Solutions Forum is a mechanism led by The City that supports collaborative efforts across Prince Albert by identifying specific issues and solutions that use existing community resources.
The forum is a monthly, online meeting that has participants from across the community, including health, policing, education, business owners, community members, elected representatives, housing and Indigenous organizations. There are currently 13 Action Tables that are working on solutions to specific issues that have been identified by participants. The work also helps us to understand what we want and need as a community so that we can ask the federal and provincial governments for support.

Emergency Shelter Location – partnership approach to finding a location for the permanent emergency shelter.
Regional Transport – partnership approach to develop transport mechanisms for chronic risk individuals to get to their community if they want to.
Warm-Up Shuttle – winter service provided by PAGC to provide hot food and transport to the emergency shelter if needed.
Second Avenue Project – partnership approach to address the accumulation of garbage along the Second Avenue corridor and increase employment opportunities for chronic risk individuals.

Journey Mapping for Homelessness
Journey Mapping for Homelessness – partnership approach to understand service alignment and gaps. A partnership group is setting out to facilitate Journey Mapping for the housing sector with the hopes of working with agencies who provide housing services to individuals who face complex needs in the City of Prince Albert. This work is important to identify what organizations provide housing services so that individuals can be directed to the appropriate organizations to receive adequate support. Encampments – short term collaborative approach to bring together action that addresses the issue and increases access to supports for chronic risk individuals in encampments.
Remand Release Planning – partnership approach to find ways to support individuals released from remand who don’t have supports in place.
