About EA Rawlinson

The E A Rawlinson Centre is the hub of arts and cultural activities in Prince Albert. It houses both the Mann Art Gallery and the John G. and Olive Diefenbaker Theatre. The facility is owned & operated by the City of Prince Albert. The Mann Art Gallery organization is governed by a separate Board of Directors and membership.

The EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts is named for the late Mr. E. A. ("Ed") Rawlinson, pioneer Canadian broadcaster, Prince Albert community leader and Founder of Rawlco Radio Ltd. A gift of over one million dollars from Rawlco Radio Ltd was significant in making the dream of a visual and performing arts centre for Central and Northern Saskatchewan a reality.

The Olive & John G. Diefenbaker Theatre is a 600+ seat auditorium with all the latest amenities. It has been embraced by the community, housing over 250 events most years, providing audiences with top-notch local and professional entertainment. It is also often rented for other events, including graduations receptions, dance festivals and recitals, art shows, and conventions.

Absolutely! All ticket links can be found on our ticket site. From there, you can decide how you'd like to receive them. You can pick them up in person before the show, at the door, or you might opt to have them emailed to you. From there you can print them at home, or keep them on your mobile device to show at the door.

There are a few exceptions such as dance festivals/competitions where the renter sells their own tickets.

The EA Rawlinson Centre is committed to providing a safe, dignified and welcoming experience for everyone visiting, working and or performing at the centre.

Assistive Devices

The EA Rawlinson Centre can accommodate a variety of assistive devices, including but not limited to, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, and oxygen tanks.

The EA Rawlinson Centre has 8 wheelchair accessible seats that can also accommodate assistive devices. These are located in Row M by the entrances on either sides of the Orchestra level and in Row O on the Mezzanine level. Please see image and more details below.

Any patron who uses assistive devices to move, such as a walker, cane, crutches, or has difficulty with stairs, can sit in Row E and can have their assistive device checked during the performance. An usher can assist you to store the device before the performance begins, and returning it after the performance.

Patrons who use short canes can choose to keep them with them as long as it is short enough to be below their sight line and is kept vertical, not impeding the aisle.

Patrons who use an assistive device should contact the box office at (306)-765-1270 for assistance in choosing the best seat for their needs from the seating options. Accessible seating is only available for purchase through the Box Office.

Hearing Assistance

The EA Rawlinson Centre has headphones for the hearing impaired, these connect automatically to our sound system. If you wish to use a headset, simply call in beforehand or ask the Box Office staff when you arrive and they will be more than happy to help. Headphones must be returned to the Box Office at the end of the show.

These devices are available as first come, first serve. If you have any questions about the hearing assistance system, please call the box office for more information.

Effective January 1, 2026, all ticket and registration fees (e.g., Broadway North Youth Program) are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

This policy aligns with standard practices in the theatre industry. Please make sure you have carefully chosen your events, ticket quantities, and seating preferences before you begin your purchase.

The EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts presents a nine-month season of shows offering a wide variety of entertainment options. With these shows, we can offer package discounts and our own pricing. On rental events, prices are set by the group renting the space. Those shows cannot be included in our package offers since they are not being presented by us. On our ticket site, the image shown next to the show will represent if it is a EA Rawlinson Centre-presented show or not.

Our 604 seat theatre offers a great view from any vantage point. We have wheelchair spaces set aside that cannot be purchased online; we have those seats on hold for people that truly require them.

Please contact our Box Office at (306) 765-1270 or in person between the hours of 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) and tell us you'd like a wheelchair spot.

For people with limited mobility that don't require a wheelchair, we can suggest the best spot to sit that will require the fewest number of stairs (or no stairs at all). Our lobby and upper mezzanine are both accessible by elevator.

The sound is exceptional in our auditorium. However, if you require hearing assistance, headphones are available that are directly connected to our in-house sound system. Let us know that you require them for a show and we'll have them ready when you arrive!

This is a series of performances that take place entirely on the stage of the EA Rawlinson Centre. The performer and audience are there together, up close and personal. Tables and chairs with onstage bar access add a casual feel to the evening.

We have a great partnership with the Coronet Hotel, and we recommend them for a great stay with extra amenities like an on-site restaurant, banquet facilities, and fitness room.

The EA Rawlinson Centre shares our main parking lot to the west of the building (off 12th Street W) with the Mann Art Gallery and Saskatchewan Provincial Courthouse. The lot can fill-up quickly.

There is limited additional parking behind the EA Rawlinson (please note the designated staff and loading zone spots) as well as the Gateway Mall lot across from the EA Rawlinson and 12th Street West.

There are 5 accessible parking stalls (also called handicap parking) – 2 in the main parking lot centered with the main doors and 3 directly to the south (right side if looking at the EA Rawlinson from the outside) of the main entrance to the centre in the small parking lot.

There is also a 15 minute loading zone just south of the main entrance to the centre.
