The City of Prince Albert provides a broad range of services to residents, businesses and visitors through our various departments and facilities. The delivery of these services involves employing approximately 430 employees on a permanent basis including the Prince Albert Fire Department and the Prince Albert Police Service. Your interview panel might consist of the Human Resource Consultant plus a representative from the department requiring the position.
Interview structure
Our interview structure includes:
- a description of the job
- questions to determine education and work experience
- general information such as salary, start date and availability
You can also ask questions about the position and information regarding when and how you'll receive the results of your interview (offers are usually made by telephone.)
Selection of successful candidate
The employment decision is based on a combination of seniority, education, related work experience, suitability, the interview and references.
Offer to Successful Candidate
We contact successful candidates and provide you with an offer of employment, which outlines the conditions of employment. The start date is confirmed, as well as the location and time to report for work.
We'll send you an offer letter with the information that was discussed on the telephone.
If you haven't been contacted within four weeks after the competition closes, you should assume that you are not being considered for the position.
