Mayor and City Council Event Invitation Requests
If your group would like an official representative from City Council to attend a public event, please forward a request to the Mayor's Office. All bookings (for conferences, anniversary celebrations, charitable, or cultural events) can be requested by completing the Event Invitation Form online.
Due to the number of invitations the Mayor receives, please send your invitation at least three weeks in advance of your event. Once the invitation is reviewed, you will receive confirmation if the Mayor is able to attend. If the Mayor is not available, you can request your invitation be sent to the Deputy Mayor or another member of City Council to attend on the Mayor's behalf.
Request a Message from the Mayor
If your group would like an official representative from City Council to attend a public event, please forward your request to the Mayor's Office with the Message from the Mayor Request Form online.
Request a Proclamation from the Mayor
The Mayor may grant your request to declare a special day, week, or month that will support the improvement of the community. Submit the Proclamation from the Mayor Request Form online to the Mayor's Office.
Request Certificate of Congratulations from the Mayor
Upon request, Certificates of Congratulations may be sent to a resident of Prince Albert from the Mayor to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, recognize a special event, or an achievement in the community.
City Lapel Pin Requests
City of Prince Albert pins, displaying the official corporate crest, can be provided to visiting groups, community events, and/or citizens who are travelling outside the Province.
Events outside the City
The pins will be given out on a basis of up to 50 per individual or organization that is attending a conference or event outside the city.
Events in the City
Events that are hosted in the city may receive up to 150 lapel pins, when each individual attendee is given a pin.
Anything over the allotted amounts will be sold to the individual, organization or event at the cost of $0.25 per pin. Due to budget constraints and the number of requests we get, it is not possible to hand out pins on an unlimited basis.
Requests for pins may be made by completing the Lapel Pin online application or by applying in person to the Mayor's Office on the 2nd floor of City Hall. Requests within the allotted amounts can be made to the Prince Albert Tourism Office.
For more information, please also see the Pin Policy.
State of the City Address
The Mayor of Prince Albert is invited annually by the Prince Albert Chamber of Commerce to deliver the state of the City Address. Mayor Greg Dionne addressed a crowd of 367 business and community leaders on January 30, 2020 at the Ches Leach Lounge at the Art Hauser Centre.
