Lot holds will only be considered in the form of a non-refundable 10% down payment and a formal offer to purchase.
The City maintains residential infill lots in select neighbourhoods, listed for sale from $1 to fair market value. For more information on infill development opportunities, please submit a Service Request through the Solutions Hub here, for more information.
For all other land sale, lease or license inquiries, please submit a Service Request through the Solutions Hub here, and your inquiry will be addressed as soon as possible.
Purchasing a lot
To proceed with a purchase, lease or license, you will be required to enter into a formal agreement, which may include a non-refundable deposit, the payment of municipal property taxes or a fee of the equivalent value, payment deadlines and permit requirements. For more information on municipal permits, please see below.
Permit Applications
In many cases, a development permit application is required prior to construction, demolition or the issuance of a building permit.
You must have a building permit or demolition permit before any work is started. If you are not the owner of the property, you will need to complete the Owner's Authorization Form. The contractor on the application must have a valid City of Prince Albert business license in order for the building permit or demolition permit to be issued.
Your application can be submitted in person at the Community Development Department, 3rd Floor, City Hall, or online through the Solutions Hub. Your application may take up to 20 days to process depending on the type of work (new construction, renovation, etc.). This process may take longer if all required information has not been provided with the application.
