Travel Tips

All travelers should be aware of the airport boarding procedures. Here are some tips that will ensure a quick and safe trip.

  • Make sure you bring your plane ticket and photo ID such as a valid driver's license or passport.
  • Find out from the airline company how many pieces of luggage you are allowed to take with you.
  • For safety reasons, do not let anyone else pack your bag.
  • Ensure the items in your carry-on bag and check-in bag are allowed to be in your carry-on or checked-in luggage.

Arrange for an alternative shipping method for any dangerous goods.

  • Please check with Transport Canada about what counts as a dangerous good and options for shipping
  • For a list of goods that can and cannot be packed in your carry-on and checked-in luggage, please check with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority
  • Never carry unknown items received from anyone else.

Remember to never leave your luggage unattended. Keep your eyes on your bags at all times.

If you see an unattended or suspicious bag or package, please report it immediately.
