The City of Prince Albert hereby gives notice, pursuant to Section 102 of The Cities Act and the Public Notice Policy Bylaw No. 24 of 2015, of its intention to amend its Purchasing Policy.
Reason for Amendments:
1. To ensure that sections regarding authorities for specific emergency situations and limited unbudgeted expenditures are clarified and in line with the proposed amendment to the Administration Bylaw; and,
2. To outline more clearly that the approval of spending authorities for Managers and Department Heads within the Purchasing Policy excludes authority for those individuals to execute Agreements/Contracts associated with that spending.
The amendment to the City’s Purchasing Policy will be considered at the following City Council meeting:
Monday, February 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. – Council Chamber, City Hall, 1084 Central Avenue, Prince Albert SK
