Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Prince Albert intends to consider Bylaw No. 6 of 2021 to amend Bylaw No. 21 of 2015 known as the City of Prince Albert Official Community Plan (OCP).
Reason for the Amendment: At the City Council meeting held on March 15, 2021, Bylaw No. 6 of 2021 received first reading and Council directed Administration to provide Public Notification for a Public Hearing to be held on April 12, 2021.
Bylaw No. 6 of 2021 proposes to add section 10.9 to the OCP which outlines a number of policies that will both recognize the 1:500 year flood plain, and also minimize and mitigate its impact. Options for new development including development permits, building permits, subdivisions, and building construction are included within the bylaw, along with an updated flood plain map and definitions. Therefore, City Council, at its meeting to be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., will consider all submissions both written and verbal respecting the Public Hearing for the above bylaw. If you would like your written submission reviewed by City Council PRIOR to the meeting, it would be preferable if it were provided by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. In accordance with City Council's Procedure Bylaw No. 26 of 2014, any written submissions must be provided to the City Clerk. Verbal submissions shall be heard during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.
