Nomination packages and candidate information for the November 9, 2020 Municipal Election are now available for anyone interested in running for Mayor, City Councillor, or In-City Public or Separate School Board Trustees.
The Candidate Guide includes information on the responsibilities and time commitment of elected office, candidate eligibility, the nomination process, and key dates. All information can be found on the official online election website www.pavotes.ca.
Nominations open September 21 and close October 7, 2020 at 4pm.
Civic Elections are held in order to elect a mayor and 8 councillors, one for each of the city’s 8 wards. The City of Prince Albert also conducts elections for both the Prince Albert Public and Catholic Schools in order to elect their respective school boards.

In accordance with legislation, the civic election is scheduled for November 9, 2020. The Election Office is adapting its plans to ensure public safety measures are in place for the election and will respond accordingly to any COVID-19 directives issued by the Province.
