In order to increase neighbourhood safety, the City of Prince Albert is launching the motion sensor light community safety initiative, effective April 6, 2021. Through this program, residents of Prince Albert can purchase a solar, motion sensor light (only model # 52-7808 is eligible for the City rebate) for $49.99 (plus tax) from the program's community partner, Canadian Tire, and apply for a further rebate of $25 from the City.
“The City of Prince Albert is pleased to be partnering with Canadian Tire on this community safety initiative. Community Safety is a priority, and this program is one step in the right direction.” Says Kristina Karpluk, Planning Manager, with the Department of Planning and Development Services
The initiative is currently limited to 100 rebates, and they will be accepted by the City on a first come first serve basis.
Program information and the rebate application form can be found on the city website, www.citypa.ca/community-safety, in the City Hall foyer, or at Canadian Tire.
