Alfred Jenkins Field House Receives NAFA Clean Air Award
The National Air Filtration Association has announced the Alfred Jenkins Field House is one of 33 facilities around the world to receive their NAFA Clean Air Award for 2019. The award recognizes maintaining a clean and healthy indoor environment, while reducing operating costs.
To receive a Clean Air Award, a facility must be nominated, assisted and supported through the process. BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions provided the guidance to achieve the award, including training for 5 City maintenance personnel through NCT training.
“The NAFA Clean Air Award gives our members and facility user’s confidence they are breathing the cleanest air possible when they are playing their game or working out,” said Lynne Schwartzenberger, Alfred Jenkins Field House Recreation Coordinator. “Our air filtration system is properly maintained which provides clean air and also helps reduce costs.”
The award program promotes and recognizes the use of high efficiency filtration products and good maintenance practices. Of the 33 NAFA Clean Air Awards presented in 2019, 16 were to buildings in Canada and 6 to buildings in Saskatchewan. There are now a total of 12 Clean Air Award buildings in the province.
