Extended City Transit hours trial delayed.

The trial to extend City Transit hours has been pushed back from its original starting date of March 13, 2023, due to a shortage of available bus drivers.  

The City is working with its transit contractor, First Bus Canada as they work to hire additional transit drivers to operate the extended hours.

City Council approved extended transit hours on February 13 as part of one-time Public Transit funding from the federal and provincial government. The original trial was approved to run from March 13, 2023, to March 31, 2024.
