A number of enhanced voting options have been prepared in an effort to adapt the election process to protect the health and safety of election workers and voters.
The following voting options will be available for Prince Albert’s 2020 Municipal and In-City School Boards election
1. Drive Thru Advance Polls
A drive thru will be set up at the Prince Albert Exhibition Grounds for each of the six advance polling dates prior to the November 9 election. Drive thru Voting provides voters the opportunity to participate safely without contact with other voters and limited contact with election workers.
Please visit www.pavotes.ca for more information on advance polling dates and times.
2. Mail-In Ballots
Amendments have been made to the mail-in ballot process to allow residents to register to cast their vote by mail in advance. This option was previously only available to those that were outside the City during advance polls or on Election Day.
Those that wish to use a mail-in ballot, need to pre-register and supply identification. Please visit www.pavotes.ca for more information on the registration process.
These options were prepared in close collaboration with Elections Saskatchewan and other Saskatchewan cities. In addition to these new options, all regular polls on Election Day, November 9, will encourage proper social distancing measures in accordance with the suggested safety protocols provided by Saskatchewan Health Authority.
