It's the kind of program we've always wanted to do! Students gather every Saturday to meld dance, voice, and acting skills into a finished theatrical production! The program culminates in an evening featuring two one-act plays, driven by the talents and new skills learned by the students, guided by our instructors! Plays will be performed for limited capacity audiences December 10th, 11th and 12th. If regulations allow, two matinee performances may be added to the run. And for the first time ever, we will be offering a class specifically for technical theatre students! Full details here!

We're putting together a community music video, and we want to bring all genres, ages, and experience levels together in one rockin’ project. We're looking for vocalists and musicians to record their portions of a selected song on video and send us the video file. That's it! Our sound technician, Joel Rohs, will use all your audio tracks to mix the song, and we'll incorporate your video, too! Interested? Here are all the details. Here is the Video Link.
September 3rd (Thursday) | Curbside Concerts
September 3rd we’re hitting the road again for a series of free curbside concerts featuring local musicians. Where we spring up will be a complete surprise! If you come across a Curbside Concert, here are a few tips to follow: DO bring out a lawn chair to relax and enjoy the show. DO remain on your balcony, porch, driveway or lawn. If you’re moving closer to hear better, DO ask the homeowner if there’s room for you on their lawn. DO practice physical distancing from anyone outside of your social bubble. DO wear a mask if six feet of physical distancing is not possible. DO applaud loudly; they love it! DON'T approach the performers. DON'T block streets and driveways.
September 25th (Friday) at 7:30pm | An Evening With Belle Plaine
The first in-house show of the fall, and the first show using our health and safety protocols. Belle Plaine is the stage name of Melanie Berglund, a singer/songwriter who was raised on her great-grandparents’ homestead near the hamlet of Fosston, SK. Her 2018 album Malice, Mercy, Grief + Wrath earned a 2020 JUNO nomination and drew accolades from Rolling Stone. It was awarded Album of the Year at the 2018 Saskatchewan Music Awards and Belle was nominated for Roots Solo Artist of the Year at the 2019 Western Canadian Music Awards. Belle embodies traditions from country, blues, swing and folk music, while never quite fitting squarely into one category. She’s part charming folk-singer, part honky tonk front-woman and part grizzled bandmom. Whether you see her in your local roadhouse or singing with a symphony orchestra, you'll know that Belle is a natural-born storyteller who embodies the heart of the prairies. This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada.
