Prince Albert, SK - The City of Prince Albert will once again be offering the Anti-Graffiti Paint Program. This program encourages citizens to help reduce graffiti vandalism by REPORTING IT, RECORDING IT and/or REMOVING IT.
Homeowners, business owners and private owned facilities can apply to the City of Prince Albert to receive one (1) FREE Paint Kit (one gallon of paint, one tray, one brush/roller and gloves) allowing the individual to paint over graffiti located on their own properties exterior surfaces. Free Anti-Graffiti Paint Kits are only available for as long as weather permits. Applications received when temperatures are less than 0 degrees Celsius will not be considered.
Be ready to show proof of ownership if you're the property owner (example: tax notice). If you're a renter of a property, you may apply for a paint kit but you are responsible for getting written permission from the property owner to complete the work.
It has been proven that the most effective way to prevent graffiti is to remove it promptly. With this program in place, the City would like to provide some assistance to residents that are interested in immediately removing graffiti from their property.
NOTE: The 2020 Anti-Graffiti Paint Program does not include costs to sandblast or remove graffiti in alternative manners and the Anti-Graffiti Paint Program is not retroactive.
COVID19 Update: Due to the closure of City Hall, applications will not be accepted in-person this year. Applicants are encouraged to fill out the online form or print a copy from the website and mail it in. Please visit our website for application forms https://www.citypa.ca/en/living-in-our-community/anti-graffiti-paint-program.aspx.
